Juan Pedro Orellana, a true survivor, has a lot to say about cancer. His experience has made him want to convey the need to invest in science in Spain.
And as he is also an excellent "runner" he will do the Camino de Santiago in 28 stages, that is, 28 marathons, in order to raise funds. A route called "1,000 kilometers against cancer" that will begin tomorrow, Thursday, September 1.
The money raised will go to a group from the University of Granada led by Professor Juan A. Marchal, head of the "Doctors Galera and Requena Chair for Cancer Stem Cell Research."
