Although the sun has good qualities for the Vitamin D synthesis, we must be careful and always use sunscreen, especially people during their cancer treatment.

 Some chemotherapy drugs are photosensitive and may cause spots on your skin after sun exposure. We highly recommend using sunscreen, due to the heightened sensitivity on your skin during the treatment.

It should be applied before the sun exposure and spread a generous amount all over the face, neck, and neckline in order to have an appropriate level of protection. To keep protection, you should reapply often enough, especially after bathing or sweating.

To skimp on quantity leads to a significant decrease in protection. Do not stay out in the sun too long even if you wear sunscreen. Keep babies and kids out of direct sunlight. An excessive sun exposure could cause an important risk for the health.

Sunscreen: they transform solar energy, making it harmless to the skin. It enhances the protection from UVA and UVB radiations.
UVA rays break through the skin much deeper than UVB rays, they play an important role in prematurely aging the skin and enhance the appearance of wrinkles (photoaging) and damage the skin cells, called keratinocytes, that are found in the basal layer of the epidermis.
UVB are the main cause of skin redness and sunburns, they tend to damage the surface layer of the skin.
